Since 1686
I like Le Procope restaurant because it gives me a historic feeling while dining.
I like their amazing seafood platter, and their adventurous traditional menu like veal kidney, and calf cheeks stew. (Have not try the kidney & stew yet)
I suggest you GOOGLE about Le Procope upon arrival. You'll be impress that it is one of the oldest restaurant in the world.
Voltaire, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson and Napoleon, all have eaten there.
In fact, before Napoleon became the commanding general he came to eat at Le Procope but could not pay for his meal so he left his hat at the restaurant as collateral. Napoleon never came back for his hat. It is still on display at the restaurant.
I have mixed feelings about their service. The food takes forever. I ordered a seafood platter and a freaking sorbet. It took me about 2 hours to completed my meal. (very slow)
However, the waiters are friendly and very polite. To find a good service restaurants here in Paris are kinda hard.
