Everyone called me the "Calvin Klein boy."
Back then most boys wore Ralph Lauren. Being a maverick like myself, I chose to wear only CK t-shirts and jeans. On holidays my gifts from mother were mostly CK products.
A couple of sprays of CK-one on my neck and back-pack are a requirement before school starts.
Over the years you can imagine how many empty bottles of CK I've accumulated.
The bottles are too nice to throw away so I decided to do something creative with them.
So I poured oil and food color in each bottle, creating this amazing floating variety of colors in the bottles.
Since then I've been wanting to apply that idea to fashion. Like on a purse or on a dress...
After a few attempts I kinda gave up on it because I could not find the right materials and a way to seal in the oil.
14 years later.... While I was in Paris I tried to bring the idea back....But it was too late...
Featured in the Christopher Kane Fall 2011 collection, are the ideas I've been thinking about since high school........
I'm very happy that Christopher executed the sealing technique and that it looks amazing, nevertheless I'm still upset that I gave up on the idea myself :(
C'est la vie!
